2. Texture Assignment, see instructions below:

3. Divide your sketchbook page into EIGHT equal squares and cut them.

4. Use these scraps of paper to create create real, tactile texture by using whatever means available.  Examples: distressing the paper, using glue, thick paint, water, creating rubbings, etc.

5. On the backside or another sheet of paper, use pencil to create a four different simulated or visual textures.  Use a variety of lines, pencil strokes, and pressures.  Use the example below as inspiration only and come up with your own textures by observing the world around you.
